“Works For Me”

Playing WFMW with Shannon at Rocks In My Dryer. Got kids who get carsick?  Try Red Earth Motion-Stop , an herbal concoction with ginger, mint, cloves and other good things.   A few drops under the tongue ward off nausea like you wouldn’t believe.   My kids hardly ever throw up in the car anymore, thanks to this...

12 days– and counting

12 days– and counting

Thanks, y’all, for weighing in on my question earlier today.  (And commenting!! I feel so special!) I am going to continue posting every day on the 30 Days topic.  I’m also going to try to fit in other topics too- in part by rerunning favorite posts out of my early archives that not many people...

Taking a poll

OK, I’ve been wondering about this for a few days now.   Since I began writing about the   30 Days of Nothing,  comments on those posts have trickled off to almost nothing.   Now I almost would think that the fade-away is due to the incredible boringness of my recent topic. (Notable exception: my Day 6  post–...

On the 11th day of ‘nothing’…..

On the 11th day of ‘nothing’…..

…I’m going through withdrawal.   Shopping withdrawal, that is.  This afternoon I took my 16 year old into town to driver’s ed, and I swear I heard Walmart screaming my name.  I knew I truly *needed* nothing.  But I got all starry-eyed imagining the fun of cruising the aisles ‘just browsing’  (yeah right!) Day 8 & Opinion Saturday

No shopping today.  Instead, between school and meals, I dug out my messy laundry room counter.  I still have some to do tomorrow, but it is tons better.  Am working on paring down and organizing my home better.  I already have 4 Hefty bags full just from my closet and the linen closet.  I’m trying...

My September 11th

In memory of September 11th, people around blogland are sharing their memories. *** My most indelible memory of September 11th is of little boys playing Legos.  But let me back up a little. We move slowly in the mornings at our house.  That morning we were just getting breakfast started.  Our two three year olds...
