Giveaway: Zebra Pens

February 18, 2012

Zebra Pens sent me a mob of cool school supplies to give away this weekend. Pens at our house are always disappearing, so I was thrilled with this 36-pack that also includes a couple of red pens for grading the math notebooks always heaped next to me on the couch. The steel highlighters come with an extra refill cartridge. And the mechanical pencils are really cute– they were quickly snatched up by various kids and immediately pressed into service. I like that the lead is just a little thicker than you see on most mechanicals, making it less likely to break.

If you’d like to be entered into the drawing to win a gift setcontaining all three of these items, comment below and tell me one office/school supply that you wouldn’t like to live without. For a second entry, tweet this giveaway or like it on facebook, then come back and tell me where you shared it.  I’ll choose a winner on Tuesday!

Boy, this is a tough once since school supplies are my love language. :) But I think mine would have to be pencils with nice erasers.

There is something wonderful about the feel of new school supplies, objects of pride and so full of promise. Nothing beats the humble HB pencil in my estimation (always carry your small hand sharpener with you though as well!).

We would die without our stapler. My first grader is forever making books out of printer paper.

When I’m in the classroom (my ‘office’), it’s Post-It Notes. I tape a stack of them up next to my desk so I can’t lose them. Everything gets jotted on a sticky note, and I love to write down the answer to “how do you spell __________” and send it with a kid back to her seat.

This is my favorite pen!!! One stays in my wallet, one with my bible & any studies I may be doing, one at my desk, etc. Can only find them at the office supply stores, which I don’t frequent as much as say the grocery/retail sort. Anyway, hope I win!

Living internationally has helped me to appreciate the value of a good pen and marker. Name brand (like Zebra) are outrageously expensive, if you can even find them, but SO worth it, no leaky ink, no easily broken parts. Close second to good pens is colored paper, which also costs 3-4 times as much as in the states. I brought back 3 reams last time we visited, lol.
