In the hospital

When I gathered up my sweet little 9 year old to take her to the doc this morning, I suspected we might end up here.  She’s been vomiting off and on since Friday night.  And sure enough, when our doc got a look at her droopy little self, he decided some IV fluids might be needed to get her headed back towards health.  She’s already looking perkier, eating grapes and watching ‘Martha Speaks’ on TV.  The doctor says if we get her tanked up successfully, she may be able to go home this evening.  Here’s hoping we’re on the right track.

    • yes, the doc did lab work on Monday that looked OK, and we went home from that visit hoping she would turn the corner and feel better soon. But it turned out she really needed the boost of some IV fluids.

  3. Praying for you all. Poor little thing.

  4. God bless her. I hope she’s better very soon.

  5. More prayers here for a quick recovery. I agree with Erin, that’s a long time. She’s definitely due for some relief!

  7. So sorry for your poor, sweet girl (& you). :( Glad to hear the IV seems to be helping. Keeping hydrated sure is tricky when a kiddo is vomiting for an extended period of time.

Adding my prayers to all the others being raised up on your behalf. Boy, that sounds like really bad grammar, but Jesus knows what I mean. :)

Hope tonight is peaceful for y’all.

  8. Hope your sweet girl is headed home soon!
