Sometimes…
…I have to ditch my frugal-food ideals and buy the first, gorgeous cherries of the season. Pay twice as much as they’ll cost a couple weeks from now.
Gobble them down with abandon. $17 worth of cherries, gone in hours, with the help of my family. Before they’re all gone, I bring a few out onto the porch to take pictures of, in all their luscious glory.
Ah…cherries.
I wish we hadn’t eaten them all.

For me it is Strawberries and I like them naked as in no sugar cream(clotted) or otherwise as long as it’ not out of a can!.
Bought some from Marks and Spencers a while back large, round oand alarmingly indulgent.Well £6.00 later I left the store went to the hoe and indulged. So I know what you mean may be a few mor pounds than you bargained on but SO worth it lol
thanks fOR posting

The diligent deserve a treat now and then.
Could not have said it better myself! True, true, true!
A wise woman knows – sometimes you have to just enjoy and ignore the cost! I also love cherries and like to eat them until my lips are stained -prettiest and tastiest lipscolor in the world!
Yum! I love cherries. I love summer fruits – strawberries, peaches, cherries, plums… mmmmmm….
I gotta run to the farm stand and find me some summer goodness.
I love the porch picture.
They’re worth non-frugality. I love them.
