June 25, 2010

I’m thinking of making a batch or two of homemade ice cream for the 4th of July and came across these yummy-looking candidates:

What’s your favorite ice cream?  Got a good recipe?

I love Ice cream and really don’t have many I don’t like, but I think that peanut better and chocolate is my all time fave…
I really love the book Serendipity Sundaes…I checked this out about 5 times from the Library and FINALLY ordered it for my own, but there are recipes for Ice Cream, sauces and different drinks and such. Although I had never heard of it before I found the book at the Lib., I guess they are pretty famous in New York, especially for the Frozen Hot CHocolate, which is in the book!
The salted butter caramel sounds REALLY GOOD~ Enjoy!

What a great idea! I remember we made it once or twice when I was very young and loved it. When I saw the post, I thought next year I want to do this with my kids! I should have them by next year since I am looking at older children. This would make a great tradition! :-)

We love pineapple sherbet. I have a super easy recipe that uses buttermilk and pineapple canned in heavy syrup. Super cold for hot weather and light and delicious!

I think Salted Buttered Caramel is the most ORIGINAL one! Go for that one! Or perhaps Peach because it’s screams SUMMER! :) Have fun!
