The class
My photography class on Saturday was fun. I liked the teacher, and four hours flew by. After some talk about what makes a good portrait, we divided into pairs to get some shots. (It felt odd to take pictures of a stranger — I’m more used to photographing my kids!) Then we gathered back in class and talked over our work, discussing what would make the work stronger. I was relieved that my pictures didn’t stink too bad. Did I learn a lot? Dunno. I came away from the class feeling that I’m getting it, and really I just need to practice more. This instructor also teaches a 5 week long intermediate/advanced class, and I’m wondering if a bit longer class might feel more worthwhile. But we’ll see. There are probably better ways to use my time right now…

I love your “leg portrait”. It would be so nice if you can find the time to take the 5 week class. Something to do for yourself and everyone would benefit!
I was wondering how things went!
What I really, really need is a Photoshop class. lol My photography skills are in much better shape than my Photoshop skillz.
Hi Kristen,
I don’t have Photoshop yet, but it is definitely on my wish list!
