You can use either old-fashioned or quick. I think old-fashioned looks prettier! :)

I'll be making this tomorrow. The recipe I use now uses old fashioned oats. Does this one use the old fashioned ones as well?

To say that this granol beats any store bought or even gormet granola is an understatement. I had been looking for the perfect granola and I found it here and I control what goes into the granola. I use it on top of granola and as cereal. I have given packets to friends and they rave about it as well. Everything I have tried from your book has been a winner. It is the best addition to my cookbook collection. Thank you and bless you and your family.

Totally love this granola recipe! We love the idea of being able to pick the "goodies" for an endless variety! We made cranberry, coconut, sesame seed, peanut granola to try it and the whole bunch of us loved it. I have been trying recipes out of your $75 a week cookbook for 2 weeks now and haven't been disappointed once. Thanks so much for your book and your blog!

When I want to be really naughty, I add chocolate chips to my "goodies" and cocoa powder and vanilla in with the wet ingredients :D

I just made granola to give away as presents for lot of the nurses I work with. I found this great recipe that used applesauce instead of oil, and I added a little melted butter. It really turned out delicious.

[...] you know that you can easily make your own granola? Homemade white sauce takes 5 minutes to make and costs a fraction of a can of cream soup. [...]
