Thanksgiving Kitchen Giveaway
This week I have a great giveaway! This Emerilware Stainless 4-Quart Sauce Pan was given to me by CSN stores. It is sturdy and feels very high quality. The Emeril line of cookware is made by All-Clad. It is not QUITE as heavy feeling as my beloved All Clad stock pot, but pretty darned close. The handle has a good feel, and I love the clear lid. The pot has excellent conduction of heat. I discovered it worked best to cook things on a lower setting because the pot is so efficient.
I was pleasantly surprised at how large it was. These days I use some pretty huge pots, and while I wouldn’t be able to make my customary double batch of soup in it, this pot is big enough to warm up the leftovers the next day, or make the sauce to top a batch of pasta, or cook some veggies for a side dish.
To enter the drawing for this cool pot, simply tell me the part of the Thanksgiving meal that you most enjoy. I will be choosing a winner among commenters one week from today. If you’d like a second entry to this contest, mention the contest on your blog.
Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for!

The food is great and all, but really, it just comes down to spending some quality relaxing time with family!
I love the pie! Especially pecan. We have a great pecan recipe in my family that comes from a Kentuckian friend of ours. Love it. Oh…and I really need this pan!!
I love making the dshes that I grew up with and some that my husband grew up with and seeing our kids enjoy them. This year I am going to have my 7 year old daught help with the stuffing. I am excitedfor that. Happpy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Honestly the turkey and gravy.
I love turkey…and mix it up with gravy and well I am happy.
I just blogged about this too.
great food, great family, great parade…….
When we all finally sit down together to eat!
Mmmm…sweet potato casserole. Nothing compares.
I love my mom’s sweet potato souffle. Can’t be beat, and it’s the only time of the year I get it.
The Pumpkin Pie! This is my favorite time of year because it is acceptable to stuff my face with pumpkin pie and whipped cream!
I love that everyone stops their normal routines and comes together to eat and find out more about each other and truly takes the time to listen.
mmmm…i love sweet potato casserole (with brown sugar topping, not marshmallows) and pecan pie. yum!
We seldom have turkey, so I actually enjoy that a lot. Nice pot!
The stuffing and it has to be Stove Top. I know I am wierd but I have never had homemade that is as well seasoned as Stove Top.
I love hosting! This is my first year and I feel so very grown up to be in charge of everything.
I love all the food – mashed potatoes, dressing, green bean casserole – but this year we’ll have 29 people including our new baby, and I have no idea what’s on the menu, so I’m looking most forward to time with family.
With a family of eight, I would love these kinds of pots. With a family of eight, winning it would be even better!
I love cornbread dressing!
Food wise, I’m all about the bird!
Best part is having a day to remember all there is to be thankful for. Especially this year, it’s been truly life altering and amazing.
This year, we celebrate with my husband’s family. What I love most is that after dinner and I am cleaning up, all of his elderly family will sit around the table, drink “decaf” coffee and talk about old times. I don’t mind cleaning up while he gets to hear stories from his family. He loves it, and knows that it won’t always be this way as they are all in their 80′s!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving — grandma’s cooking! Especially her macaroni and cheese!
You mean besides family time? I love cranberry anything!
I love spending time with family and my favourite part of the meal is the pumpkin pie for dessert!
Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of all, but it’s the cranberry relish that makes it perfect.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving meal is our family’s traditional oyster stuffing.
I love the thankful game and spicy cornbread dressing. Well, I like the rolls too! Yummy.
I am a sentimental type. I would rather watch all of my family enjoy the meal than eat. Seeing all the faces around my table, fed, nourished and being thankful. That is my favorite part!
God Bless!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving meal is being all together as a family. The food is nice…but more being with family is important!!
We are lucky to have two sides of the family that like to do it BIG! Both sides are different but yet warm, cozy, filling, and relaxing. I struggle every year with knowing where to be at which time. My mom is so flexible and allows our family celebration to be on a different day so that we can all be there. Therefore, we have two big meals. My favorite part of my in laws meal is my mother in laws potato dumplings – they are delicious and you can’t help but keep popping down the ol’ hatch. At my moms it is the turkey and the stuffing – and the wine that makes every one rosy cheeked, chatty, and happy!
I love my mom’s dressing. Nobody can make it like her!
I love seeing the cousins re-discover how much they like each other!
I don’t really know what I like best, I haven’t had enough of a taste for it here yet as we don’t have thanksgiving in Australia. I did like Cherry Pie. Can’t stand pumpkin pie as I am used to eating pumpkin as a vegetable, not something sweet you put in pies.
I love stuffing! :!)
Dessert!
I can’t really think of anything that we eat that I like more than the rest of the meal – it’s all very yummy and we look forward to our ‘feast’ for a long time! What I do enjoy a lot though is the preparation. All the work leading up to the meal really makes it well worth while in the end; seeing the satisfied faces and people going back for seconds or thirds! We usually end up eating so much of the main course that there isn’t room for dessert, so we have started having our Thanksgiving desserts the night before — which is tonight! Yummy!
My favorite part is that my kids get very excited about. Taking a mile long walk with Papaw after lunch. It doesn’t matter how cold it is they still go. The best part is walking by the helicopter in the park. I love that they will have this memory forever.
I love cooking for my family and watching them all happy sitting around the table.
I love the mashed potatoes with turkey gravy. I don’t make a whole turkey any other time of the year and the gravy is so much better when you cook the whole bird.
In terms of food, the assortment of desserts is my favorite. For the day as a whole, my favorite is crafts and games with the kids.
Okay, I love the part of the meal where everyone is done with the main dish and bemoaning that we will have to wait for pie, but no one wants to move away from the table so we just sit and visit about “stuff”.
The seeing my family all around one big table part!
Oh yeah, and the wonderful food!
Thanks
I’m looking forward to deep fried turkey. I’ve never had it, but I’ve heard so many good things.
The most unique part of our traditional Thanksgiving meal is the stuffing. It’s an old family recipe combining potatoes, apples and onions. Yum!
I love the whole meal I love how It brings family together and makes you think about what is important.
I really love most everything about our Thanksgiving dinner except clean-up!! Would love the pot to add to my daughter’s hope chest.
It’s a toss up between stuffing and pumpkin pie both made from scratch by my mother and oh so good!
Smiles!
Stuffing. I make a new one every year. Love them all
My favorite part of the meal growing up wasn’t food. It was sitting down around a large table with my family and all of us saying what we were most thankful for. If I have to chose a food, it would be pumpkin pie.
I love the sweet potatoes!
Is the contest open to non-Americans?
If so, my favourite part is that Canadian Thanksgiving marks the start of fall. All the leaves are turning, it’s getting a bit crisper out, it’s root veggie time, and everybody gathers for an awesome meal.
