Thanksgiving Kitchen Giveaway
This week I have a great giveaway! This Emerilware Stainless 4-Quart Sauce Pan was given to me by CSN stores. It is sturdy and feels very high quality. The Emeril line of cookware is made by All-Clad. It is not QUITE as heavy feeling as my beloved All Clad stock pot, but pretty darned close. The handle has a good feel, and I love the clear lid. The pot has excellent conduction of heat. I discovered it worked best to cook things on a lower setting because the pot is so efficient.
I was pleasantly surprised at how large it was. These days I use some pretty huge pots, and while I wouldn’t be able to make my customary double batch of soup in it, this pot is big enough to warm up the leftovers the next day, or make the sauce to top a batch of pasta, or cook some veggies for a side dish.
To enter the drawing for this cool pot, simply tell me the part of the Thanksgiving meal that you most enjoy. I will be choosing a winner among commenters one week from today. If you’d like a second entry to this contest, mention the contest on your blog.
Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for!

I enjoy dessert the best
I like the part where everyone sits around and picks at the leftovers.
I pretty much love everything except the turkey. Mashed potatoes with gravy and stuffing plus a little bit of cranberry sauce, yum. This year we did lingonberry sauce instead of cranberry and it was great!
My favorite part of our Thanksgiving meal is the quiet beginning when we pray and then the warmth and the love that radiates in the conversation between people that have not seen each other in a long time:)
My favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal is that first bite of everything around the plate. Mmmm….especially the sweet potatoes!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving meal was a mouth-watering piece of homemade Strawberry Cake! YUMMY!
The best part of the Thanksgiving meal is sharing it with loved ones!
Cranberry sauce (homemade, not the stuff from a can) or pumpkin pie.
I love the artichoke dressing. Actually, I posted a blog about it today I love it so much. I sin.
Hmmmm, I’d say the mashed potatoes…but I really do love the sweet potatoes too! Pretty much the potatoes in general, regular and sweet!
Mmmmmm, the dressing and gravy! No, the sweet potato souffle!! No, the cranberry salad!!! No no no, the pumpkin pie! Ohhh, this contest is waaaay too hard!
It’s all pretty good but I guess the dessert is my favorite part.
Laura
Pie, Pie, Pie! Pumpkin, apple and berry! Aunt Betty makes the best! We also love our Tofurkey!
This year, my husband’s family (an EXTREMELY loud bunch) joined us for Thanksgiving. I’m ashamed (not really) to say that my favorite part was when everyone left to go home.
My favorite part is always the stuffing. The stuffing in the bird, that is. This year I went all out and baked bread from scratch and a homemade pumpkin cheesecake – those would both be in a close second to the cheesecake. In fact, my bread dough rose enough to make an extra loaf, which we’re enjoying as french toast now 2 days after the fact.
Green bean casserole and cranberry sauce ,,yum .
Thanksgiving is such an awesome time to come together. But my favorite time is late that night when everyone is pulling their favorite leftovers out of the fridge to eat all over again.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving is when we go around the table and tell what we are most thankful for. We started doing this nightly before dinner and we have realized that we have SO much to thank God for everyday. We also like to open our home to people that have no family around–we make them part of ours!
My favorite part is eating turkey with cranberry sauce.
My favorite is the black eye peas.
My very favorite part is after all the work, all the shopping and cooking and cleaning, that moment of silence before the blessing when everybody just enjoys the scene for a moment and is truly glad to be with family and feels so blessed by the bounty.
My favorite part is remembering how blessed we are.
The best part of the Thanksgiving meal is sitting back and watching my 5 kids eat what they want in the portions they want. Trevor starts with a plate filled with stuffing, gravy and cranberry relish. Ethan has a pile of potatoes and gravy topped by the turkey drumstick. Emmanuel and Zoe have a well rounded plate that samples each of the dishes. Little Boaz has a sampling but only finishes the potates and gravy. I love letting my dietician hat fall to the ground as the kids delight themselves.
STUFFING!!!!!!!
My favorite part of the meal is when it is quiet because everyone is enjoying the food and company.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving is seeing my grandparents. I am only able to see them Thanksgiving and Christmas, so it is always 11 months since I last saw them.
My favorite part is saying what we’re all thankful for. This year it was having my son in the military home- not a dry eye in the house after I said that. Honestly, the food was an afterthought this year!
My favorite part is the stuffing but fresh cranberry sauce is a close second.
We have a tradition that we go around and everyone says what they are thankful for. It’s fun to hear everyone’s take on the year. There are the usual heartfelt thanks for family and health and the more humorous comments (dessert, cynthia (who was doing the dishes), camp and mommy.)
My favorite part is after all the food when my family sits around chatting and playing cards.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving is time with my family and of course pumpkin pie.
As much as I love the cooking and the food. My favorite part of Thanksgiving meals is that the entire family is in one place at one time. We get to catch up with each other and share our lives and loves, and sometimes the miseries.
my favorite part(s): crispy turkey skin & leftovers! I also enjoy the “everyone say something they’re thankful for” part to hear what kinds of things everyone holds dear.
ok so that was 3. i’m not good at committing to favorites.
My favoritre part of Thanksgiving this year was my newly discovered recipe for chocolate bread and butter pudding. Bread AND Chocolate .. what could be better?
I love my mother’s recipe for sweet potato casserole and my mother-in-law’s recipe for cranberry salad best. Yummy…
I love the cranberry sauce and the leftovers! Yummy!
I love the way everyone gathers in the kitchen, and even though it is crowded and hot it is my favorite place to be. Good conversation with people that I love, in a kitchen that smells of all the Thanksgivings I have ever had.
I enjoy all of the food, but most especially being with family that we don’t see often.
I love Thanksgiving desserts—this year my favorite was the yummmy chocolate pie!!
Nice blog! I’m so glad I found it in time to enter your give away. As for thanksgiving this year we played Wii sports half the morning. It was fun and helped wear off some of the calories we anticipated! LOL
My favorite part of our Thanksgiving meal is the Cheese Beans. I don’t know whose idea it was to put cheese and beans together but every year they are the dish that we have to MAKE SURE is going to be there! And every year the person who brings them (because he’s the only one who can make them just right!) mixes them up in his hotel room bathtub in the biggest crock pot I have ever seen…
Velveeta and green beans, mmm mmm mmm!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving are the mashed potatoes and gravy. Not just any old gravy mind you! Homemade, lumps and all gravy!!! The sweet potatoes with brown sugar, butter and marshmallows are a VERY close second.
I love being able to collaborate and share meal planning and cooking with the friends we usually celebrate thanksgiving with (since both my husband’s and my family are on the opposite side of the country). I love being able to grow in community with friends and kick back over good. My favorite dish is sweet potato casserole & good ol’ mashed potatoes, of course. =)
I like that one bite right in the middle of the plate where everything mixes together: the cranberry sauce, the stuffing, the gravy and a little sweet potato. YUM! (and yes, I always save it for last;) )
I just love that the family can gather and enjoy a great Thanksgiving meal together.
I love just sitting around and talking after the dinner is over and catching up. I come from a large family and we have a huge dinner together. We were a smaller group this year at 93 (last year was 114), so you can guess that I don’t get to see everyone or talk to everyone, but it is nice to remake those family connections.
I love being together with family, and sweet potatoes!

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is seeing my family all together and enjoying all the goodies.
