Blustery day

November 17, 2009

We have colds running amok today and are feeling rather uninspired. I’ve declared it to be a lazy day, meaning we’re only doing half-lessons of math along with some history reading and some math games. To combat the wind swirling around the house, I’ve cranked up the fire. Am also planning on making tea and bread today– maybe this lovely loaf?

A friend sent me the link to this wonderful giveaway. Look at the gorgeous mom-necklaces you can have made on this site. OH MY GOODNESS– I want it. Who’d have thought you could fit so many names so gracefully on one piece of jewelry?

Also, a heads-up for those of you who already took family pictures for Christmas letters, but haven’t printed them yet. Snapfish is giving away 100 prints free today– TUESDAY– only. Check out the details at Money Saving Mom.

Mary, I got that email today from Snapfish. Problem is that we are flat broke….sooooo bummin!! My husband is a self employed contractor & the winter seaon is our dryest time of the year. It doesn’t help that life just keeps on plugging away…kid’s get invitations to b-day parties, nieces & nephews have b-day parties, kids eat amazing amounts of food! ;) We decided when we got married that I would stay at home and raise our kids and I am all for being a stay at home mom, but I hate being broke soooo much!

I want those necklaces! All of them! Is that to much to be asking for? Christmas is coming…

I’m thinking that Jen should get the book more than me…but it sounds great!
