Just wandered in

November 13, 2009

Last night John walked in after work with his lunch box in one arm and this sweet thang in the other. He found her up in the grape arbor at the edge of the back yard. Not sure where she came from.  It is on my list tomorrow to call the neighbors to see if anyone is missing a kitten. Meanwhile the kids have made her a bed in the garage, and are discussing names.

And my hubby is snuggling with her in the recliner.

Awwww – my son would be so jealous! I am allergic though – so no cats here.

When we were kids, the only cats we ever had were ones that had been strays. My dad was allergic, so we weren’t allowed to have cats. But somehow we ended up with strays that became a part of our family for years.

I am so jealous!! My husband won’t let me have stray kittens. He CLAIMS allergies but some of us are doubtful. Sneezes can be faked!
Tabby-stripes are my fav kind of cat! What are you going to name her? Rita? (for Arborita…you found her in the arbor) Tango? Bronwen? Or maybe something Thanksgiving related…a nice Puritan name? Prudence? Chastity? (That one might come back on you)
    Have fun!

If she doesn’t already have a home…it looks like she’s found one!

I want to thank you for the link to Compassion International. It’s hard to know which organizations are to be trusted and I appreciated knowing your sister has worked with them and that they’ve been given a good rating. We decided to sponsor a child in El Salavador. I’ve had that country on my heart since I saw the Duggars’ mission trip there. Such poverty is hard for us to relate to. I’m excited to be a part of what Compassion International is doing in El Salvador.

My husband said if we ever got another cat we’d name it Chup – that way when people ask we can say, “This is my cat, Chup” Yeah, he’s got a weird since of humor but I hope it makes you smile.

Seems to me that the kitten has found a home! ;D

I enjoy popping in for a read.

Grace: my friends named their dog “Chuck” so they could call him to the couch and say up chuck! Yes, I have strange friends!

I am voting for the name Keeper as discussed on Facebook. He is a total darling (yeah, your husband too). And what an above commenter said? My husband is “allergic” to cats too. So they (2) live happily in our garage and we love them.

Good for you for at least entertaining the idea of keeping this kitty. Your kids must really love it.
