October Family Feasts Giveaway

October 5, 2009

—FAMILY FEASTS GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED. THANKS, EVERYONE!—

I’m excited to tell you about two giveaways I’m doing this month. The first one is a Cheer laundry detergent giveaway! Who couldn’t use free laundry soap? Click on over there and tell me how you brighten the lives of the people around you, and you’ll be eligible to win a free bottle of Cheer.

(NOTE: If you commented on the Cheer giveaway in the early hours of Monday, you might need to go back and comment again. I made an error and had to delete the first post and repost it in a different location on my blog. Sorry!)

The second giveaway is fun too! I’m giving away three sets of THREE copies each of my book Family Feasts for $75 a Week. Be one of the three winners of this giveaway, and you’ll have a copy of the cookbook for yourself, PLUS two copies to give away to friends. (Christmas gifts, maybe???)

You can get up to 5 entries to the Family Feasts giveaway by doing any of the following  5 things:

1. Blog about the contest and share a direct link to your post in comments.

2. Twitter about it, and share a link to your twitter in comments.

3. Request that your local library purchase FAMILY FEASTS, and tell me which library it is.

4. If you’ve already read FAMILY FEASTS, post a review of the book on amazon.com or bn.com.

5. Mention the contest on your Facebook page.

I’ll be picking 3 winners using random.org.  Be sure to comment using a valid email address.  The contest ends Monday morning, October 26th!  I hope to hear from lots of you!

I hope it counts if I wrote a review for Amazon over a month ago! (All the praise still holds as true as the day I wrote it! :) )

Have requested it for our library, a little town in Alberta Canada and have added it to my amazon cart just in case random doesn’t pick me :) I don’t really enjoy cooking, and have tried many, many cookbooks, and we’re a busy family so I’m hoping family feasts works for us.

Just wanted to share this — not sure where to post it — from the Nashville library:

“Thank you for informing us about this excellent title. We will be ordering copies of this book for inclusion to our collection.

Please check the online catalog to place your hold. Book requests usually take about a month to appear in the online catalog. You may place your hold as soon as the material is on order.

    Sincerely,
    Collection Development Department”

Believe it or not there is no public library in my ENTIRE county (Lincoln County, MO). Dolly Parton is doing her part to help ensure the young folks around here have books…bless her — here is a link to our local paper, the St. Louis Dispatch…
