…simply give them a tub of water, a heap of doll clothes, and a kid-height clothesline.

which begs the question, how come it stops being so fun when they’re person-sized clothes and adult-high clotheslines?!

    that is just adorable. :)

glad to know some other ladies are up blogging still at this late hour and not just me!

If this storm holds off today or clears up early, I am soooo doing that!

I have always said, give a kid a bucket of water and he’ll be entertained for a long time!! It’s us adults who seem to need the inspiration!

Now why does it not seem so cute, adorable and precious when I have to do the laundry? :-)

This reminds me of when we first moved to Africa. We didn’t have a machine yet, so our maid washed our clothes by hand (and my goodness did she get them clean! Also got all the stretch out of my cotton tshirts…sigh) The kids loved to “help” and I have some great pics of them doing so. Later on, when we spent a month in a village and I was the one doing the washing, it wasn’t considered nearly as much fun.

Great activity for a summer afternoon. I love hanging laundry outside.
They seem to get along so well together.

This brings back memories! My sister (and brother!) and I used to do this in the summer when we were kids. Not a lot to do when you live ‘out in the country’ and not many other kids in the area, so we had to make up our own fun. :-)
