My oldest son’s b-day is July 6 and for the first time ever, last year we had a July 4th theme. It was by the best birthday, or so he tell me.

Thank you for this! On Monday night we were watching a cooking show and my darling 3rd child, grabbed me and begged for a star birthday party at the end of July!(I have no idea where she got the idea – the show was about weddings and no stars were featured) ! She wants a star cake. I just ordered a star shaped mold for the cake and wondered what else I would do – your post just made my day. thank you!

Great idea! With two kids and a husband with July birthdays, I may have to steal this idea sometime! (We only do one party and then have a small family celebration on their birthdays) The best part is, you can use your leftovers on the 4th of July!
