That’s so awesome. It’s cool that you try to keep your kids connected to their heritage, even though they’ve come to the US. Can’t wait to hear about the trip!

WOW!!! You’re really doing it! We’ve talked about taking our Ethiopian son to Ethiopia since 1992 when he came home. Never had the funds. I did take DH when we picked up the second daughter in 2005…….but no extra pennies to take the son along, and he didn’t really want to go. I want to take my other kids, too.

Wonder when/if it will ever happen!

I am tearing up b/c I am so excited for you, and your kiddos! The breadth of love in your heart just overwhelms me some days…ten kids, and you’re sane, and you write, and you travel. Girlfriend, I could use some great tips and pointers from you. Because five of them are wearing me down this week. (I’m sure it doesn’t help that I’m a wee bit PMSing, but seriously.)

No, he decided that it would be best if he stay home with the other kids. The kids will miss me, but with Dad around everyone at home will stay on a more even keel. He and I will take a different (shorter) trip another time…
