Sesame Street K’Nex giveaway

Recently I was sent a sample of a new building set just released by K’Nex. (I would have saved this review for next month, except they requested that I mention it now.  If you’re doing 30 Days of Nothing this month, please don’t let this post throw off your groove, OK? :) )  The sets feature Sesame Street characters and are made for kids in the 2-5 year old range. They can be played with all on their own or can be added to other Kid K’Nex sets. You can see them at http://knex.com/sesame-street-building-sets/

The really fun thing is that YOU, my wonderful readers, have a chance to win one of these sets for yourself. To enter the drawing, just comment on this post and let me know if you’ve begun your Christmas shopping yet. If you would like your name entered TWICE, also mention this giveaway on your own blog sometime between now and Thursday evening. Don’t forget to come back and comment again to let me know about the post. On Monday, October 6th I will announce a winner.

Nope, haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet…haven’t even thought about it until I read this post!

2 Elizabeth M. { 09.29.08 at 1:06 pm }

Yes, I have started my Christmas shopping but barely. I’ll have it finished by Thanksgiving though!

3 Lindsay { 09.29.08 at 1:09 pm }

These look so cool! My son is totally into building things lately and would love these under the Christmas tree. I have started my Christmas shopping. I have some stuff and ideas for everyone (which is 1/2 of the battle for me).

4 Rae @ East Coast Evans { 09.29.08 at 1:14 pm }

I have not started Christmas shopping for the kiddo’s. Just this morning while I was out and about I was looking at a few things for my youngest and I do have an idea for my middlest. My oldest? Ugh. One thing I know for sure, it will be a Christmas centered around the birth of Christ and not around tons of gifts!

5 falwyn { 09.29.08 at 1:14 pm }

Christmas shopping? Ha! What month is it anyway? :)

6 Amy { 09.29.08 at 1:23 pm }

I stock pile gifts for people when I see something I like, so I have started. I always am still shopping at the last minute for the “impossible” people on my list though.

7 Otter { 09.29.08 at 1:23 pm }

Most years I start shopping early. This year- no shopping yet. Don’t want to think about it.

8 Martha { 09.29.08 at 1:27 pm }

No, I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet, but I have started planning! :)

9 Lisa { 09.29.08 at 1:33 pm }

I would love to win this set! No, I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet. I had to get past the birthday months first.LOL

Blessings,

Lisa

I haven’t actually bought any Christmas presents yet, but I have started making lists. And some unfortunate soul on my list might be receiving the scarf I’ve started knitting - I’m still a beginner, so it may not turn out to be gift-worthy…

11 Betty { 09.29.08 at 1:37 pm }

I haven’t started, but I might just have to now!!

12 annie { 09.29.08 at 1:39 pm }

I haven’t started actually shopping, yet. I am, however, making some mental lists. We don’t do that much gift giving at Christmas — so at the most I’ll have to get 10 gifts or less — and that’s easily done in December.

13 Lisa { 09.29.08 at 1:46 pm }

Those are so cute! My son would love them.

I’ve started making a list, and I’ve made two items off it (half my list is handmade stuff) but buying things has to wait until we magically have more money in the budget.

14 Mia { 09.29.08 at 1:52 pm }

My son would love these! And yes, I’m well into my Christmas shopping. I like to be done by the end of Oct, and finish wrapping by the middle of Nov. Then I can relax and enjoy the season!

15 Mrs. Mordecai { 09.29.08 at 1:53 pm }

I was thinking no, but then I realized that yes, I have bought one gift already. We have a wedding right before Christmas so I need to be on the ball this year!

16 Mara { 09.29.08 at 1:59 pm }

I haven’t started since picking up a few things after last year’s Christmas…

17 Heather { 09.29.08 at 2:04 pm }

I haven’t really started Christmas shopping, but then again, we’re going to New York for Christmas so there aren’t many to buy!

18 Kristen { 09.29.08 at 2:06 pm }

My boys love K’Nex! My oldest son has had some of the bigger sets including a roller coaster that took up half his bedroom. My five year old (Christopher-home 12/03) would love a set of K’nex of his own. I started my Christmas shopping last February! We have a huge gem and mineral show here in Tucson every February and I bought two sets of minerals that glow under a UV light for my nephews. They are really nice collections in beautiful black boxes with labels for the different minerals. I traveled to Cape Cod last week and brought the Christmas presents for my other nephew and niece–I didn’t want to pay to mail them! I’ve also started putting away gifts for my boys. This year I am being really organized and have written a list so I know what I have already bought. Oh, and I bought a bunch of Bath and Body soaps and lotions on sale this summer for teacher gifts.

19 Laurel { 09.29.08 at 2:06 pm }

I am sloooowly starting my Christmas shopping. I fix baskets of jellies, jams and pickles for family members, and I am accumulating baskets and pretty napkins to line them. And I have bought a few things for our youngest child…the older ones not so much. I’ve learned it’s smarter to wait until about the end of November to start shopping for them…they will change their minds five times about what they want before then!
BTW, this is my first time commenting, and I love this blog!!

20 Gypsie { 09.29.08 at 2:15 pm }

I have been thinking about christmas shopping but i havent done any yet. My neices would love this set!

21 Julie { 09.29.08 at 2:16 pm }

I started Christmas shopping this summer. I don’t have a lot yet, but every bit helps.

22 Mama Hen { 09.29.08 at 2:19 pm }

No, I haven’t started yet, although I think about it.

My little boy will be two in Nov. and this would be a perfect Christmas gift for him. He loves Elmo and if we catch Sesame Street on tv he yells “See Steet”. It is so cute!

23 Chanda { 09.29.08 at 2:27 pm }

I have not started Christmas shopping yet…but I have been thinking about it. I just wish I had more time to make some things for Christmas giving.

24 Ginger { 09.29.08 at 2:50 pm }

Haven’t started Christmas shopping yet…but gift ideas are starting to clutter my head.

25 Gwendolyn { 09.29.08 at 2:52 pm }

I’ve bought one gift. For my mother. And only because she wanted a short-sleeved robe and I didn’t think I could find one if I didn’t grab it in the late summer. :o)

26 chinamama4 { 09.29.08 at 3:00 pm }

Surprisingly, yes, I have begun my shopping. Actually, I bought yarn and started an afghan for my mother in law, Aida fabric and floss for a cross stitch sampler for my mom, yarn for several dish cloths, and have made a batch of peach jam to give teachers as gifts. So I haven’t actually bought gifts, but have bought supplies and have started making the gifts. I guess that counts…

27 Janee { 09.29.08 at 3:09 pm }

My daughter turns two in December and she LOVES Sesame Street! I haven’t started the official shopping yet. We are hoping that our families will be interested in paring down the gift giving a bit this year and sending the money overseas somewhere, so I guess I’m holding off until I know about that.

28 Jenna { 09.29.08 at 3:23 pm }

I did a little bit of Christmas shopping in the summer clearance sections… but that has been it. Quite frankly, I’m behind! I have a nephew who would love these!

29 Melissa Juvinall { 09.29.08 at 3:27 pm }

Hi! I’d love to win this for a friend! I have not started my Christmas shopping yet, but I will actually be starting it tonight! (There’s something on clearance I’m planning to snatch up before it’s gone! Yay!)

30 Grace { 09.29.08 at 3:30 pm }

I haven’t started to Christmas shop yet. I have three birthdays to get through before Christmas first. You’d think with six kids I would have started months ago, I guess I’m not that smart yet!

Blessings,
Grace

31 Jenn W { 09.29.08 at 3:31 pm }

This would be a great start to my Christmas shopping!! I haven’t even thought about it yet- but the kiddos are begging for a puppy and a kitty!! Fun times at our house!!

Blessings!!

32 LAH { 09.29.08 at 3:32 pm }

Christmas shopping - EEK! I’m still trying to wrap my head around September. However, the days are gone (pre-kid) when I could do all my shopping December 23. My kids would love this set.

33 Stephanie { 09.29.08 at 3:32 pm }

I have indeed started and am on my way to getting done REALLY early! I already have the stocking stuffers, some items for my kids and even some things for the nephews. Thankfully we don’t have many to buy for but at least I’m off to a good start. I have really enjoyed reading about your 30 days of nothing. I would have joined in but we pretty much already live on nothing ;)

34 Dealmamabelle { 09.29.08 at 3:35 pm }

Thanks for hosting this giveaway! I have started looking for deals for charity Christmas baskets, but I have not started personal shopping yet.

35 Carrie Alexander { 09.29.08 at 3:36 pm }

Haven’t started shopping yet, but will soon. Really want to focus on enjoying the season and not being stressed over shopping, cleaning and hosting.

36 Steph { 09.29.08 at 4:02 pm }

I start Christmas shopping the day after Christmas….I’ve got 90% done now!

37 Amy { 09.29.08 at 4:30 pm }

I haven’t done a DROP of Christmas shopping, yet!!

38 Kristi { 09.29.08 at 4:33 pm }

Nope - haven’t started shopping yet … and knowing me, I probably won’t start until 2 weeks ’til Christmas in a mad panic! This K’Nex set would be awesome for our 2 year old son!!!

39 Conner Cochran { 09.29.08 at 4:50 pm }

I have made my list… but haven’t started shopping!

40 Kim N { 09.29.08 at 4:59 pm }

I have barely started my Christmas shopping. I am not going to get much, but I better start getting it done!

41 Crystal { 09.29.08 at 4:59 pm }

I have started shopping - I picked up some things at Chapters on Friday night for the grandkids. Our giving is greatly pared back this year, for several reasons, but mostly so that we can focus on each other and the time we share. Our granddaughters are just 2 and I think they’d love this set - thanks for sharing the goodness. And yes - I will share it on my blog later this evening.

42 astarte { 09.29.08 at 5:05 pm }

I start Xmas shopping in August, generally, for extended family and stocking-stuffers. It’s the only way I can afford to do our whole list!!!

That set would be AWESOME for my neice!!! Fun!!

43 Cindy { 09.29.08 at 5:09 pm }

Does having toys saved from last years after Christmas clearance sales count as starting ; )…if it does then yes I have started, if not then it is a big NO!
Fun Stuff!

44 BarbJ { 09.29.08 at 5:16 pm }

Yep, Christmas shopping has officially started. We have 5 family birthdays, ILs anniversary, and Christmas between Dec. 15 and Feb. 7 - we start early and have presents hidden all over the house by Dec. 1!

45 Brandi { 09.29.08 at 5:22 pm }

We haven’t started our Christmas shopping yet. We do have some pine cones my mom gave us that we may do something crafty with for gifts. We also have a gift for our son whose birthday is in December. These would make a great Christmas gift for him. He’ll be four.

46 warillever { 09.29.08 at 5:42 pm }

I have picked up a couple of small things for the kids, but haven’t even made up a list for every one else.

A set of K’nex would be nice for one of the many small people on my list…

47 Kelli { 09.29.08 at 5:52 pm }

I am almost half way done with my shopping. Have the bigger gifts for parents and that stuff done, nephews, now have to work on little things and kiddos things.

48 Tina { 09.29.08 at 6:17 pm }

I’ve started…kind of. We have a few things for one side of the family and nothing for the other. I do need to get started on it though, don’t I? (By the way, those look really cool! I have a 2 1/2 yr. old and 5 yr. old who love to build.)

49 Cari { 09.29.08 at 6:24 pm }

I have started thinking about Christmas, if that counts! I am going to post a link on my blog as well!

50 Elizabeth { 09.29.08 at 6:27 pm }

I have not started my Christmas shopping, but I have to start soon b/c we’re celebrating with my family at Thanksgiving and they are the hardest ones to shop for.

51 rguttmann { 09.29.08 at 6:33 pm }

I’ve started my Christmas shopping, but only by way of super-cheap deals I’ve been accumulating over the past year and even before that! I have slippers for both my kids that I know I’ve had for AT LEAST 2 years, and maybe their feet will finally be big enough this year that I can give the slippers to them!

I did just sit down and write out a list of who all I’ll need to buy for–that always seems to be when panic strikes!

52 amanda { 09.29.08 at 6:44 pm }

Hi-
Yes I have begun xmas shopping. My son has a close birthday to then so its good to start early.
Love K-nex

53 amanda { 09.29.08 at 6:51 pm }

Hi-

Of course 2x the fun. I put it on my blog, go see.

Blessings Again.
Amanda

54 Amanda { 09.29.08 at 6:52 pm }

Nope. I have not started Christmas shopping. I am doing good to have my weekly grocery shopping finished!

I do have a son who has a mild obsession with building and Sesame Street so I would love to get started with this prize!

55 Laundry and Children { 09.29.08 at 6:53 pm }

I have started mentally Christmas shopping, but with our 30 Days of Nothing I haven’t actually started anything. The most important part has been decided…the budget.

56 Jenny { 09.29.08 at 6:54 pm }

I have a few things stashed away that I’ve picked up here or there, but I haven’t started the serious shopping yet.

57 Angie { 09.29.08 at 7:00 pm }

Haven’t started Christmas shopping yet, but we have started planning a little. My 2 and 3 year old boys would love these!

58 Jody { 09.29.08 at 7:22 pm }

I have, but I am knitting a lot of gifts (Again! why do I torture myself!) so mostly is it just yarn in a pile staring at me waiting for me to DO SOMETHING. Oh the pressure!!

59 Monica { 09.29.08 at 7:28 pm }

I am hoping to complete my Christmas shopping my Thanksgiving, however we may need to wait for the profit from my Thanksgiving pie sale to do the shopping. Either way, God is good and will provide the funds at the right time for the right deals with the right amount of holiday traffic I am supposed to encounter.

I’m also going to be baking and crafting gifts as well.

60 Christy@pipandsqueak.blogspot.com { 09.29.08 at 7:39 pm }

Technically I have started my Christmas shopping by getting stuff for my nieces and nephews. Don’t be too impressed. I did not plan to start, I just ran into a really great deal on some dvd’s at Lifeway a few weeks ago.

61 Jennifer { 09.29.08 at 7:41 pm }

Yup - have started my Christmas shopping. I’m doing “Crafty Christmas” with my daughter for all the relatives, so we’ve already made a birdhouse, photo albums and picture frames. We do one a day as our arts and craft project. She’s even making all our Christmas cards!

62 Kelli { 09.29.08 at 7:53 pm }

Well, as far as Christmas shopping, I have started a list of things people have said they would like to have. I try to eavesdrop on conversations and pick up tidbits of info that helps later. Unfortunately, there are 7 family members including myself who have birthdays before Christmas so that makes it harder! But I have found 1 very special thing for my 9 YO that he will LOVE!

63 Becca { 09.29.08 at 7:53 pm }

I haven’t started my shopping, but I’ve definitely been THINKING about it. Does that count?? I have a little 3 yr old boy who would go crazy for these, so I’m crossing my fingers!

64 Pam { 09.29.08 at 8:03 pm }

Yes, and I have started addressing my Christmas cards too!
Thank you

65 Emily { 09.29.08 at 8:08 pm }

I have made some good progress on Christmas shopping. A lot yet to do, though. However, I am doing a lot of photo books and photo playing cards this year. If I am going to clutter up people’s houses, it should be with cute pictures of my kids!

66 Tamara { 09.29.08 at 8:10 pm }

I have purchased 1 Christmas gift, but I am planning to make my lists and get started next week!

67 Jill { 09.29.08 at 8:11 pm }

I’d love to get these for my eight children! Thanks for the give-away!

68 Kelly { 09.29.08 at 8:18 pm }

My two little ones would love these! And yes, I’ve started my Christmas shopping. I try to shop a little all year long to avoid the crunch and spare my checking account =)

69 Heather { 09.29.08 at 8:26 pm }

I accidently started my shopping. At Kohls about a month ago I found a great sale on their Fisher Price toys. B1/F1, plus 10% off early bird, plus 15% coupon. I paid very little for a bunch of Little People sets.

70 katherine from senor elefante { 09.29.08 at 8:47 pm }

the closest i’ve come to starting my christmas shopping is drawing names with the in-laws this past weekend. so, at least i know who i need to shop for!

71 Ilissa H. { 09.29.08 at 8:47 pm }

I have kind of started my Christmas shopping but I’ve only bought small stuff like stocking stuffers. This would be great for my nephew. Thanks for the chance!

72 Ilissa H. { 09.29.08 at 8:48 pm }
73 Kathy { 09.29.08 at 8:51 pm }

Yes - I just started my Christmas shopping last week at Sharon’s Hearts of Hope garage sale :)! I am so blessed to have kids who are happy to recieve “used” gifts, Sharon’s kids were so great to part with awesome toys, and the best part is the $ I spent will help adoptive families recieve grants - it’s like 2 gifts in one. This is my first time seing your blog and I’m sure I’ll read often - as an adoptive family I love adoptive family blogs. We love K’Nex, too, so thanks for the chance in the giveaway! Blessings, Kathy

74 Kim { 09.29.08 at 8:54 pm }

I haven’t begun matching up people with gifts yet, but I’ve got a stash of items in my closet that I’ve bought throughout the year with the mindset that whatever it was would make a good gift for someone.

75 Michelle { 09.29.08 at 9:03 pm }

I actually have started already this year. I’ve also started making things. Now if I can just keep up the momentum!

76 Genevieve Larson { 09.29.08 at 9:08 pm }

Well so far I have gotten 2 gifts so far. I am on a tight budget this year as I am off work as I just had my 4th baby. But this is giving me more time to shop now and find better deals.
thanks for this contest

77 Kellie { 09.29.08 at 9:09 pm }

I have a coupl eof things stored away already for Christmas. And I also have a list already - which will help. I tend to forget things so I make sure to write it down when I see it!! ladeebug224 at hotmail dot com

78 Sandy { 09.29.08 at 9:11 pm }

started the day after last year but still not done

79 Jessica C { 09.29.08 at 9:32 pm }

I have just started Christmas shopping.

80 Gayle { 09.29.08 at 10:14 pm }

This is my first time responding on your site! I love it!!! Thanks!!! I’m a mom of 3, including a 2 yo boy who was born in South Korea. I am doing 30 Days of Nothing with you, so I haven’t bought anything this month. But I shop all year long for friends and family! :o)

81 Cami { 09.29.08 at 10:55 pm }

Well, actually, I picked up a Christmas gift today! I always get an early jump on holiday shopping. I can’t stand the crowds and it stresses me out to spend so much in one month. Much easier to spread it out.

82 Hil'Lesha { 09.30.08 at 1:30 am }

I have’nt yet. I usually start late October. :)

83 Beth { 09.30.08 at 4:08 am }

I haven’t really started shopping for Christmas, but I did pick up a shirt on a clearance rack for my 6 yr old…If I can keep it till Christmas!

84 Pat { 09.30.08 at 4:28 am }

Oh yes, I’m an all year shopper. This can be good and this can be bad….bad when you forget to write what you bought and for whom and you buy for them again.

85 Theresa { 09.30.08 at 4:56 am }

I’ve finished my shopping for the nieces and siblings, but haven’t started for my own kids. Do we really need more toys in this house? hee hee

86 Melinda { 09.30.08 at 4:57 am }

I haven’t started yet, but I need to as I’m due at Thanksgiving! Somehow I don’t see mixing a newborn with Christmas shopping as being very easy :)

87 Amblin { 09.30.08 at 5:00 am }

Unless looking at catalogs and making a few notes/lists counts, I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet! Yikes! Need to get a move-on.

I’ll mention this on my blog…my 4 year old would LOVE his own Knex set. For Christmas. LOL

88 Christine Blackler { 09.30.08 at 5:03 am }

These are so cute. I have a HUGE sesame street fan at my house!! I have started my Christmas lists and purchased a few things I am really excited about at a local craft fair.
Christine

89 Margie { 09.30.08 at 5:35 am }

No, I haven’t started my shopping yet! This prize would be a great gift and and a great way to start though…lol! Thanks.

90 bugsparents { 09.30.08 at 5:41 am }

Yes, I’ve started Christmas shopping. We hope to be on our adoption trip in November/December, so I need to finish quickly!

91 Huguette E. { 09.30.08 at 5:41 am }

I haven’t started yet, but I have to start soon!

92 Millicent C { 09.30.08 at 5:46 am }

Oh yeah I am starting on my shopping because we are in on a tight budget (who isnt right?) havent even gotten 1/2 done but oh well I am still working!

93 Tracy { 09.30.08 at 5:49 am }

This is my first time entering a contest, but I thought my 4-year-old would love this, so I thought I’d try! I’ve bought a couple of stocking stuffer type items for Christmas, but that’s about it so far!

94 Chris Arni { 09.30.08 at 6:01 am }

No, I haven’t started Christmas shopping yet. I’m just trying to get through all the prep for our county fair which starts Sunday. Our kids are in 4H and 2 of them have livestock in the fair (turkeys and chickens). Plus, I enter baked goods, knitting and photography myself. Lots of fun and lots of work! Our little guys would love the k’nex set….anything that allows them to “build” something is a hit!!!

95 Heather { 09.30.08 at 6:18 am }

Just started this week…found a couple things on clearance :)

96 World's Greatest Mommy { 09.30.08 at 6:38 am }

This set is adorable. Our two-year-old daughter is Sesame Street obsessed. We haven’t started shopping yet, although I do have a few things tucked back from throughout the last year. I’ve got to get started on my homemade items, or I’m going to regretting it Christmas Eve. :)

97 Melissa Troedel { 09.30.08 at 6:53 am }

I have started shopping for Christmas…can’t pass up a good deal, so if I see one I buy it!~ Melissa

98 Candice { 09.30.08 at 6:53 am }

I am such an organized freak, I have already got my Christmas shopping halfway done! I just have a few of the “really hard to shop for” people left on my list, and my girls.. I have to wait for Hubby’s big Christmas bonus for that one! But I have a nephew that LOVES “street Streeeet!!” and he would love the K’nex!

99 Lori { 09.30.08 at 6:53 am }

Surprisingly, yes, I have begun my shopping.

100 Cassie J. { 09.30.08 at 6:54 am }

My 5-year-old son would love the Elmo set. The older K’Nex sets are kind of hard for him to play with and these sets would be perfect. I do my Christmas shopping all year long on sale items. I put everything into my “gift tub” and then try to match the gifts to people come December.

101 Joanna { 09.30.08 at 7:22 am }

Nope - no Christmas shopping yet. Sigh. But I do have a 2 year old boy who would LOVE these! We like K’Nex around here, and he’s the 3rd boy - hard to find things he’d like that we don’t already have!

102 mel { 09.30.08 at 7:23 am }

I have two precious little girls who’d love some of these!

Yes, I have started my Christmas shopping & nearly done, I think. We’re keeping things very simple this year due to finances & we’re doing mostly consumables for our gifts. If most of the recipients ssem to be receptive to this type of gift, we will continue to do this in years to come.

103 Gina Stratos { 09.30.08 at 7:30 am }

Not even close……
gkstratos@yahoo.com

104 ET @ Titus2:3-5 { 09.30.08 at 7:34 am }

Yay! Enter me, please.

We have begun the Christmas shopping adventure. We found a brand new (in box) remote control Mustang at a garage sale this summer. It’s currently hiding under the stairs in a big garbage bag.

105 Tiffany { 09.30.08 at 8:01 am }

I’m about half way done, and have a pretty good plan for the other half!

106 CoCo { 09.30.08 at 8:20 am }

Nope, I’ve thought about it, but haven’t managed to make myself start just yet.

107 Melody { 09.30.08 at 8:22 am }

No I haven’t started Christmas shopping yet, but I have started making gifts for my family.

108 Holly { 09.30.08 at 8:28 am }

I always christmas shop, really….but start in earnest around this time of year. I already have a couple of things for my mom and picked up a couple of stocking stuffers for my little girl this weekend at a cool toy store in Breckenridge. I prefer to spread it all out. The only problem is remembering where I stashed stuff when it comes time to wrap!

109 Linda { 09.30.08 at 9:18 am }

Right now my shopping is in the thinking/planning stage. I always spend too much time on this stage as I want to be able to give good educational and fun things.

I also linked you to my journal - http://www.xanga.com/lmramos99

110 Jill { 09.30.08 at 9:35 am }

112 Sarah { 09.30.08 at 9:47 am }

Our family has actually decided to spend less this year on each other, and we want to see how much we can get for less. We have exchanged children’s names. And this year is the first year in a long time we have also exchanged adults names, we set a limit of $5. and we all have a VERY LARGE stocking to fill! It’s going to be fun to see how much we can do for $5! And yes, I have actually gotten a few things, and am also planning very carefully on the rest!

113 Kris { 09.30.08 at 9:49 am }

ha! I havent even started, it is going to be that time before we know it!

My 2 year old would love this. I am not planning on anything big for Christmas. I got into the habit of donating to St. Jude hospital.

116 Naomi { 09.30.08 at 10:43 am }

I have started my shopping, by picking up good deals when I come across them. I have several garage sale finds stashed away for my two girls and my mom already, and have picked up nice fabric remnants to make gifts for some of the other women on my list. My husband’s company closed in July and he is still looking for work, so Christmas will be mostly homemade this year. I’ve been honing my knitting and sewing skills:)

117 Erin { 09.30.08 at 10:59 am }

I would have some much fun with these. Oops, I mean my son would have so much fun. No Christmas shopping yet.

118 Tracy { 09.30.08 at 11:23 am }

I haven’t started shopping yet… My DH and I have been brainstorming for our son’s gift. I also started a list of ideas for my little man for when people in our family call for gift ideas. My mind always goes blank when they ask me!

119 Jessica { 09.30.08 at 12:10 pm }

I’ve only barely begun shopping so far. I’ve picked up a few things that were clearanced items for my kids, but that’s it.

120 nicolerenae@gmail.com { 09.30.08 at 12:25 pm }

I have started Christmas shopping, and I’m glad to see that I’m not the only once since most people think I’m crazy.
My kids love K’Nex!

Thanks so much for entering me

Blessings from Northern Ireland.!

I’m one of those sick people who Christmas shops year round. I’ve worked at a retail store for the past several years. Every year after Christmas, we have a big employee $1 sale on the leftover stuff. I always buy a lot then. Who can beat a buck? I also always keep my eye open in the dollar spot at Target for great small gifts/stocking stuffers for the boys!

123 Beulah @ SavingsMakeCents { 09.30.08 at 1:46 pm }

and your giveaway has been blogged =) My builders would love these!

124 Barbie { 09.30.08 at 2:06 pm }

My girls would really enjoy these blocks:)

And no I haven’t started my shopping yet… I normally have but the budget this year is very TIGHT and I’m not sure how to pull it all off yet.

125 paige { 09.30.08 at 2:23 pm }

I’m well on my way to holiday shopping bliss. This would be a fabulous gift for me, um I mean Meklit (she’d need to share with Mama though, I love Sesame Street).

126 Grateful for Grace { 09.30.08 at 2:29 pm }

Christmas shopping? You’ve got to be kidding, right.
No, I haven’t.
Yes, I should.
No, I probably still won’t start yet.
Yes, I’d love to have the K’nex to give to my 3yo.

127 Fiona { 09.30.08 at 2:55 pm }

I have begun shopping and making. Giving Peach Butter away this year… have one more batch to can. My 3 year old would LOVE these. Thanks for the give a way

128 Jennifer Graham { 09.30.08 at 3:22 pm }

I started Christmas shopping in June. I bought each of the kids a really neat book bag at the Church mission fair. These KNEX are darling! My two and three year olds would really enjoy them.

134 Rebecca Maas { 09.30.08 at 6:38 pm }

Yes, I have started shopping(window shopping mostly) I have actually only bought one gift for each child so far. I would love the Knex for my kids. I have three kids between the ages of 2-3. We also have a one year old and 6 year old.

135 Llama Momma { 09.30.08 at 6:42 pm }

My toddler would LOVE this. :-) (And, no, I haven’t started shopping yet. Not even on the radar…)

136 Small Town Saver { 09.30.08 at 7:31 pm }

I’d love to give the K’nex to my almost-2 niece. The only Christmas shopping I’ve done is ordering from aPampered Chef party, but I have a list accumulating for Amazon–was just waiting for 30 Days of Nothing to be over!

The first book on my list is “Hungry Planet” to give for one of those “draw another cousin-in-law’s name and then buy them a gift that is “really meaningful” to someone you only see 1x a year.” I know the cousin I drew will appreciate this book.
Thanks!

137 Anna { 09.30.08 at 8:47 pm }

Wow! How fun! We love K’nex! I have begun shopping but just barely.

138 Rebecca C { 09.30.08 at 10:00 pm }

We have sorta begun X-mas shopping, we try to get what we see for a good price throughout the year then we try to buy the rest on Black Friday.

Knex are the coolest things! I always do Christmas shopping year round, and actually get most of my stuff at after-christmas Clearance sales. Because I don’t go hog wild before Christmas, I actually have the cash to do so afterwards for the following year…for a FRACTION of the cost! :-)

143 Lesley { 10.01.08 at 6:28 am }

My youngest son would love these. I haven’t started shopping yet.

144 Jessica { 10.01.08 at 7:30 am }

Well, I have started the Christmas shopping. I have a niece and two nephews whose birthdays are Nov.30, Dec. 1, and Dec. 2. That with Christmas plus my son’s birthday Sunday (10/5), I HAVE to start early. That or else not eat for the entire month of December and well, that’s not an option. :)

145 Erin { 10.01.08 at 8:09 am }

I have started my Christmas shopping…it helps if I start early so I don’t have that expense all at once at the end of the year!

146 Azul { 10.01.08 at 8:26 am }

Yes, I finally started last week. I normally try to start in July, so I’m way behind.

This would be a fun one to stash away for Christmas!

147 BJ { 10.01.08 at 9:34 am }

Is this open to Canadians? I haven’t started Christmas shopping yet. There may be no Christmas shopping this year. We’ll have to see. We’ll probably try to give lots of baking away. And maybe some family photos.

148 jen { 10.01.08 at 6:33 pm }

Yes! Well… if having a bunch of stuff from last season that I forgot to give counts. (Don’t worry, people still got presents, just not ALL the presents)

149 Tara { 10.02.08 at 5:39 am }

Yes, I have started my Christmas shopping. But only just the teensiest amount. We’re moving on November 7th and I didn’t want to move a bunch of gifts!

Thanks for a great giveaway! My kids would love these. And, they would make a great Christmas gift! :)

150 Laura { 10.02.08 at 6:56 am }

Sadly enough, I havent even started shopping yet!! I am slacking this year.

151 Carey { 10.02.08 at 11:37 am }

I’ve “accidently” started my Christmas shopping because I happened upon something my MIL would like!

152 Kelly D { 10.02.08 at 4:38 pm }

I have an autistic older son who would love this.

I have started just the small stuff :)

153 Kayren { 10.02.08 at 5:38 pm }

I haven’t started Christmas shopping yet. I always start early too. We just moved from VA to MI and we’re living in an apt. until our house is finished. Hopefully we’ll be in by the end of Oct. But there’s no place to put anything if I shop now. Great giveaway!

154 Kam A { 10.03.08 at 4:10 pm }

I haven’t started at all yet so winning this would be the perfect jumpstart to my shopping!
