Update on my daughter
I wrote a week or two ago about the side effects my daughter was having with her seizure meds. The first med was Keppra, for those of you who are interested in such things. It took care of the seizures but did terrible things for her mood, which in a 12 year old girl can be up and down anyway. We had some really rotten days, whih prompted the doctor to switch her to Trileptal. I am delighted to report that seems to be working much better. No seizures, and she is back to being mostly even-keeled. We are all much relieved. Thanks to all of you who’ve been thinking of us!

Great news and thanks for the update, I’ve been thinking about you all. My goddaughter had great success w/ trileptal, so maybe this will stay a good fit! God is good, all the time!

That is wonderful news! I’m not sure why the docs always want to start with keppra. It seems to turn the sweetest kids into savages. (Ok, I suppose it does work for some people.) Our experience wasn’t a good one either.

My son takes Trileptal for seizures too! We’ve been happy with the results as well. Glad that you’ve found something that will work.

Glad to hear things are going better. My son took trileptal as a mood stabilizer and we had good results. Thank God for modern medicine.

So glad to hear it!!! That’s what Samuel is on too. He hasn’t had many side effects…some tummy aches : (, but nothing more.
One of our foster babies is on Trileptal (along with 4 other seizure meds!). I’m so glad this med seems to be working! Thank the Lord!!!
