I blogged awhile back about the terrible loss that Steven Curtis Chapman’s family faced in May. Here is the interview he and his wife did on Good Morning America.

I think what they said is so key. Faith waivers and questioning faith doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ve turned your back on what you believe in. I think it’s so important that many people understand that just because you believe in God and profess faith, doesn’t mean you don’t struggle to understand why things happen in this life or wonder where God is when you struggle. He made a very good point that it’s the faith that pulls you through even though you can’t find the answers right away.

I loved what his wife said about her “mamma heart” wanting to have her little girl with her, even though they know that they will see her again and that she is ok… our mamma hearts want what they want, and that is ok.
