I know of this site that has menus on it (and since they aren’t mine I’m sharing the link with you). The funny thing is both my DH and I have been using this website as our “secret” weapon. It was a rofl moment for sure when we found out that the arguments about who has the best “from scratch” ones were the exact same;-P

This website has been a life saver. It is “Low cost, home cooking from scratch”. They have menu ideas like the “$45 Emergency Menu” and the “$70 Low cost menu”. As well as the worlds best banana bread recipe…. or that’s what DH says, lol.

Mary, I have been thinking about your upcoming carnival the last several days, and just wanted to slip back here to let you know how much I am looking forward to this and more frugal menu ideas.

I’m definitely interested in this carnival. I’ve been thinking about it this past week, and it will be so helpful. I’ve really been feeling the struggle with rising grocery costs lately. Thanks so much!

I just found this as well and would love to participate! I am always challenging myself to prepare frugal dishes that are still healthy and taste good. Thanks for offering it!

So would these be recipes and menu’s focused on true health or the FDA Food Pyramid’s idea of health? I checked out that hillbillyhousewife link and found recipes filled with dead food in order to get a menu for $45 a week. I’m just curious if the focus of this challenge will be healthy, whole, organic, raw, pastured REAL food and recipes? If so I’d love to be involved!!
