The Bathtub is Overflowing

February 6, 2008

Recently I was given the chance to review a copy of Lysa TerKeurst’s book ‘The Bathtub is Overflowing but I Feel Drained’. She is a mom of five kids, including two from Liberia, and I ‘found’ her first by a comment she made on my blog!

I enjoyed the stories about Lysa’s own life in this book. Each chapter covers a different aspect of motherhood that women find challenging, and ends with a short devotion. I especially liked the chapter on nurturing your relationship–it had some good reminders for me.

The chapters are short, encouraging, and easy to read– this book was definitely designed for busy moms. Set this book on the edge of the bathtub and you might even get a chapter read every day or two. That is, if no one comes pounding on the door asking you what you’re doing….

    Mary,

One of my favorite books Lysa wrote is: “What Happens When Women Walk In Faith.” It is very inspirational and encouraging.

I’m certainly always keen to have short chapters or failing that short stories.
    Best wishes
