I wish….

Proverbs 25:25

One of the neatest things about our agency is the support families give each other. I just got an email from another mom currently in Addis adopting a baby. She SAW our girls and delivered a letter to them– and then took time to write me a note from Addis. She says:

Mary-

Quick hello from Addis Ababa. Your girls are AMAZING. I would adopt them in a second. You are very lucky!!

Best,

A.

Then in a subsequent email she told me she got pictures AND video, and added this:

I am really impressed. They are beautiful and lovely girls and I work with kids all the time (child psychologist).

Bless the woman!! That made my morning. I called John and read it to him – twice – then I read it to every kid at the breakfast table.

One of my 9 year olds after hearing it said, “I wish they were home…”

“Me too,” I said.

“Yeah,” said our 5 year old. “I wish they were just sleeping really really late, right here in their own beds, instead of way over in Ethiopia.”

Me too, hon, me too.

That is so sweet – these girls are so lucky to be coming to such a loving family! And, I’m sure your children all feel lucky to have two new sisters! I just love hearing about it! (Feeling a little over-emotional this morning!) And, I’m glad you got news from them – I’m sure that just filled your heart! :)

Wonderful news. Praying God will speed them to their new home so they can sleep late and wake up to love.
