Manic Mood Swings

May 24, 2007

Well, last night I was in the pits of anxiety, and today I’m feeling sooooooo much better. Partly it is due to your prayers– thanks! I also heard from a bunch of people whose paperwork got submitted to Ethiopian court this week. Most of them are only three WEEKS ahead of us in the process…. hooray!

Hoping, hoping….

I guess no matter how your kids arrive, mood swings are a part of the waiting!

Mood Swings – wow that is an understatement. I feel like life is a roller coaster. We have had all our adoptions completed in Ethiopia and now our delay is getting Alex to Albania where I am actually working! We are working on their paperwork now but it is almost as time consuming as Ethiopia. I must admit having that end finished is a relief. But every government has its own unique ‘idiosyncracies’ shall we say.

Drop by and visit us, Alex is not a traditional adoption in that he has just turned 13 but he is SO happy! And like your ealier post he will go to school – International School here BUT there will be a LOT of supplemental homeschooling as well as basketball and soccer on the side!

I guess so….. it’s almost like we’re on the same page here. Every time you write about something I’m going through it or just went through it or well we’re just going it through different routes!!!!!

Continuing to pray for all of you as you wait. Can’t wait to hear how it all turns out. I hope you’re going to take pictures and document your trip over there so we can all share in the joy with you! I think it’s just so awesome!!

    Hi there,

I came across your blog searching other blogs. I have come back to it a few times and found the information quite useful. We are from Alberta and received our referral a month ago. I am hoping to not be affected by the court closures, but with delays etc that can happen….well let’s just not go there.

would it be o.k. to link your blog to mine.

    thanks Debbie
