I am the adoptive mom to three kiddos, who are 2.5 years apart in age. We are paperchasing for number 4, a waiting child. Our youngest was also a waiting toddler adoption. I have no great adoptions stories, but with three (soon to be four) who are all in the preschool age range, I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for your opinion Saturday Question. I have printed out the responses, and yesterday started trying some of the suggestions. thank you so much.

    Hi all,

I posted this information under the topic of preparing children for a new adopted sibling (an older child). You may be interested in a children’s book I wrote and illustrated called ‘Welcome Home, Forever Child: A Celebration of Children Adopted as Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Beyond’. When we were preparing for our daughters adoption finalization, at age four, I was looking for a really special book for her. There are so many great children’s adoption books, but the vast majority reflect infant adoptions. So I wrote my book, which has been endorsed by Foster Cline, Regina Kupecky, Jayne Schooler, and Mary Hopkins-Best. I wanted to provide a resource for other families in the same situation. You can learn more about the book (and adoption cards inspired by the book) at http://www.geocities.com/forever.child1.

    Have a great day!

Thanks bunches for the link. Lots and lots of our roundup participants came from here.

I just added to the post the coding for the Adoption Round-up blogroll so that we can all find one another again.
